I was in so much pain I was unable to sleep or eat and almost passing out. The uncaring woman I spoke to wouldn't give me an appointment until 4 months later due to the fact they had de-registered me for not having a checkup in 2 years, despite the fact they had seen me every 6 months when I brought my kids in for their checkup and had never once said anything to me about their plans so I could have made an appointment for myself to stop it happening nor had they bothered to call me.

By calling back a couple of times and speaking to someone different who was obviously more caring and sympathetic, I finally managed to get an emergency appointment.
The dentist I saw put in a temp filling, which fell out the next day, so he obviously did a crappy job there and then I had more days of pain while hunting for somewhere else to get it done properly.

They then submitted an incorrect/false claim to NHS causing me to be fined £100.

MyDentist patient support was useless as was the practice manager. They refused to accept any responsibility, they refused to speak to NHS DECS and fix the mistake or help in any way, and I found them to be completely contentious and disingenuous. The IMO management had a totally apathetic attitude towards patients and seems to have no qualms in screwing us over.

After much arguing with NHS DECS I finally get an email out of the blue telling me that the case has been closed, as the dentist had made a mistake and I had in fact paid after all.

I did not receive an apology either from DECS or the dentist, in fact the Practice Manager (Rob Weston) and patient support (Alex Fox) continued with their contentious responses and apathetic attitude, and still to this day blatantly deny that they made any mistake, despite the evidence to the contrary from NHS DECS.

Any other dentist I have used in my life, have always checked the forms for any mistakes, and have made sure they correctly charged me accordingly. I never had this problem with any other dentist ever in 47 years.
MyDentist has admitted to me that they do not bother to check forms or any patients exemption status or benefits or anything, and will happily submit incorrect and false information to the NHS, thus causing patients undue stress and fines.

No sooner had the previous case being closed, another one is opened, as MyDentist did the same thing again and I received a second fine. Unsurprisingly I get the exact same contentious and apathetic responses from Rob Weston and patient support.
What is even more immoral about this, is that they have done this knowing full well about my health problems and that stress can make them significantly worse and me very ill.

I urge any patient to double check any advice that MyDentist gives you, make sure you always keep a copy of your receipt or at least take a photo of it with your phone for your records just in case you need to prove payment. And avoid filling in any information relating to benefits or tax credits or exemption status on forms unless you have first spoken to NHS directly and confirmed the correct details (preferably in writing).
